Welcome! My name is Olivia Rasmussen. I'm a highly motivated individual with a strong passion for progressive advocacy and social justice. I specialize in public relations and integrated communications.

Brief Background

I started my journey in the communications space as an intern on Bernie Sanders' communications team in 2019 after spending years in the insurance and financial industries. After that, I served as the public relations manager for a non-profit investigative newsroom and studio, primarily focusing on film communications and digital work for a documentary about the Rights of Nature movement produced and narrated by award-winning actor Mark Ruffalo. I'm currently an Account Executive at BerlinRosen, supporting various clients focusing on labor, economic and corporate responsibility, cause-based issues, and crisis relief/humanitarian work. I'm a dual strategist, integrating earned media and digital strategies.

I graduated cum laude from Iowa State University with a Bachelor of Science in Public Relations and a minor in Political Science from the accredited Greenlee School of Journalism and Communication. I was also a biweekly columnist for the college's paper and a guest contributor to the Iowa Informer.
